Biography
Patrick A. Koontz is of counsel at Johnson Carroll Norton & Kent P.C. For over 20 years, Patrick has worked in the estate and financial planning industry helping his clients define and achieve their goals. Through collaborative planning, Patrick assists his clients to reach tailored results which address their concerns and match their needs and wishes. His practice includes estate and trust planning and administration, elder law, business organization, and real estate. He grew up in Vincennes, IN and attended Indiana University- Bloomington for his undergraduate (’96) and law degrees (’99). After graduating, Patrick worked in private practice in Evansville for six years primarily assisting clients with developing estate and trust planning and administration and elder law strategies. Patrick next worked for seventeen years in the financial industry in Evansville as a Trust Officer. He focused on helping his clients manage complex estate, financial, and familial circumstances. He worked with all types of individuals and families to help them understand and execute estate and trust planning and administration, navigate elder law matters, administer foundations and giving strategies, and coordinate retirement and financial planning.
